Pinewood Derby

The Pinewood Derby has been a highlight of the Cub Scout year since the first Pinewood Derby race held by Pack 280C of Manhattan Beach California on May 15th, 1953. The 2007 Pack 240 Pinewood Derby was no exception. The Pinewood Derby was initially developed for boys too young to participate in a Soap Box Derby which were very popular at the time.

Pack 240 welcomed the scouts from Pack 43 as their guests for this year's Derby.
